OPI + Preen.Me; Iceland Collection

Evening all!  Are you a horror movie/Halloween/spooky fan like I am?  I am literally always glued to ghost hunter shows and watch scary movies nightly.  Often I watch them alone because my hubster isn't a fan.  My kids would happily watch with me but I now it's too much for them at their ages (11, 9, 6).  So today I was in the house alone and one of the kids today stared playing music...out of the blue...I've never even heard one of their toys play this song before.  It went off for a good minute and I sat there wide eyed wondering WTF is happening.  Nothing happened again.  But of course that didn't deter me from turning on a scary show.  Anyways, that has absolutely nothing to do with this post.  So I'm done rambling about myself.  Let's talk about the OPI Iceland collection.  HELLO fabulous!  I was super impressed with the colors I this collection, lots of dusty cremes, a couple amazing shimmers, awesome colors for Fall that are both traditional and non.  I received these from Preen.me to review, they have a great website that helps you create all kids of "looks" with info about so many different beauty products.  You can pick up this collection at your local beauty supply stores.  Let's jump in and check them out!

This collection was inspired by Iceland's breathtaking landscapes and wild beauty.  Think glaciers, geysers, volcanoes and hot springs!

I started with Icelanded A Bottle of OPI.  It's a gorgeous taupe creme for a perfect neutral mani.  Totally suitable for work, but just enough color to make your nails stand out.  Great formula and application.  3 coats to even out the color and topcoat to finish.

Up next is I'll Have A Gin & Tetonic.  It's a pastel salmon creme and I adore it!  This is a totally trans-seasonal shade, it'll be great for Summer and Spring too.  Great formula, great application.  I used 3 coats for full coverage and topcoat.

This Isn't Greenland, another one of my favorites, is a dusty pistachio creme.  So beautiful and a pretty unique color in my opinion.  Nice formula and application.  I used 3 coats and finished with topcoat.

Check Out the Old Geysirs is one of the shades that really drew me in to this collection.  It's a gorgeous, dusty pastel blue with blue shimmer.  I love love LOVE the shimmer.  It's so fabulous.  Nice formula and application.  I used 3 coats for full coverage and topcoat to finish.

One Heckla of a Color! is a pretty pastel lilac creme.  I do like this color but I'm fairly certain I have several polishes in this shade in my purple drawers.  The formula was really great though, I only needed 2 coats for full coverage and finished up with topcoat.

Aurora Berry-Alis is a perfectly dazzling fuchsia creme.  This was surprisingly one of my favorite shades in the collection and I might need a backup.  Fabulous formal and application.  I sued 2 coats and topcoat.

Reykjavik Has All the Hot Spots is a shimmery mauve shade polish.  This was was so shimmery that it has a touch of that frosty look that typically turns me off of a polish.  Thankfully this one isn't overly streaky (which is what happens when they are frosty or overly shimmery) and the color itself it nice.  Formula and application were both good, no issues to mention.  I used 3 coats and topcoat.

Less is Norse is a fabulous deep, dusty blue creme.  I see a faint touch of purple in there too!  This is such a gorgeous shade and the formula was really fantastic.  2 coats for opacity.  Topcoat to keep it shiny!

Krona-logical Order is a dusty brown creme.  Very lovely polish, great color for Fall and Winter days.    Great formula, creamy and opaque  Applied so smooth.  I used 3 coats for full coverage and topcoat to finish.

That What Friends Are Thor is my favorite of the browns though.  I love the warm, richness of this shade.  It gives off a cozy vibe.  Another great formula and application.  I used 3 coats to ensure total coverage and color depth.  Finished with topcoat.

Hang in there...almost done sharing this huge 12 piece collection!

This is Turn On the Northern Lights.  It's a gorgeous purple leaning blurple with red shimmer.  Well hi there, you come here often?  Holy moly I adore this color, it's super gorgeous.  Formula and application were both nice.  I used 3 coats to reach full opacity and depth of color.  I finished with topcoat.

Suzi & the Arctic Fox is a very dark grey with purple undertone.  An absolute beauty.  Since this was the last one I watched I ended up painting the rest of my nails with it.  It's been the greatest Fall color and matches every outfit I put on.  Top notch formula and application.  2 coats and topcoat.
