China Glaze Halloween 2017; Happily Never After

Evening lovelies!  Hope you had a nice Wednesday.  It's my kids short day so I get to spend a little more time with them.  Since we skipped gymnastics and soccer was canceled we went on a bike ride around our neighborhood to look at houses with Halloween decorations up.  A few were done up, but most only had up a few things, a pumpkin, spider webs.  We'll have to do it again closer to Halloween to see if things got more festive and spooky.  Since we are talking about Halloween I thought I'd share the newest China Glaze collection.  Happily Never After is the Halloween 2017 collection and it's pretty fantastic!  You can pick these up now at your local Ulta or Sallys.  Alright, let's jump in and check them out!

I'm going to start with Queen, Please!.  It's a luminescent, glittery topper that is greenish or goldish depending on the angles and lighting.  I was pleased with the coverage with 1 coat.  I used Queen, Please! over Lookin' Gore-geous.  Finished with a layer of topcoat.

Life's Grimm is a blackened green with teensy tiny gold flecks.  Gives it a shimmery appearance but as you can see in the macro it's definitely not just shimmer.  This color is so beautiful and murky at the same time!  Perfect shade for Halloween.  Formula and application were both great.  I used 2 coats and finished with topcoat.

Oooh this one is going to make you breathe heavy.  Crown for Whatever is a gorgeous purple matte with magenta shimmer.  This is a must have for any matte lover.  Formula was good, a little streaky, but it covered well enough in 1 coat.  I attempted to used a second coat to even it out, but that caused lumps and bumps that I didn't like.  I'd also suggest that you work quickly with this one so it doesn't dry up on you half way through painting each nail.  You can use topcoat if you want a shiny finish but I wanted to show the beauty of the matte.

Wait, what?!  Another topper!  This is Do You, Boo! and it's a super fun black, holo and gold glitter mix.  I see bars, hexs, micro glitter.  Nice blend.  This will be great over many different base colors but I went with this orange-ish shade called Accent Piece, also a China Glaze polish.  Formula was great, no issues to mention.  I was very happy with the amount of glitter I got on my nails with 1 coat.  I finished with topcoat.

Sin-Derella is my favorite of the collection.  It's a dusty purple with red shimmer.  Mmmmmm hot damn, this is so amazing!  I am totally in love with it.  Super unique and beautiful.  It's equal parts ethereal/spectral.  Formula and application were both great.  2 coats would be just fine but I used 3 to fully cover my nail line.  I finished with topcoat.

Last but not least is Lookin' Gore-geous.  It's a deep plum creme.  It's uber sexy, uber vampy.  I'm not sure what else to say about it but it's creme perfection.  Formula and application were both awesome. I used 2 coats for full coverage and no topcoat needed.
